Sails occupies one of the most distinctive restaurant positions in St. George’s, sitting directly beside the water on the Carenage. Tables at the edge of the harbour look across the boats, colourful waterfront buildings and hills surrounding the capital, giving the restaurant a sense of place that is difficult to replicate elsewhere.
The restaurant describes its cooking as International-Caribbean fusion, with seafood, grilled dishes, fresh fish and island flavours forming much of the menu. Recent diners highlight dishes such as lobster, curried shrimp, catch of the day, Cajun fish, conch and coconut shrimp, alongside cocktails and desserts.
Sails works particularly well for guests spending time in St. George’s who want to finish with a proper waterfront lunch or dinner. It can also stand alone as an evening destination, especially when a waterside table is reserved in advance.
La Velique can request waterfront seating, make the reservation and arrange private transport from your accommodation.

The setting is a major part of the experience. When available, La Velique will request one of the tables closest to the harbour.
Sails currently lists Sunday as its closed day, so plan this experience for Monday through Saturday.
This is an easy restaurant to combine with an afternoon visiting the capital, making it useful when building a wider itinerary.
We can arrange collection and return so guests do not need to deal with city parking or evening driving.
